Panda Sunglasses needed a summer, 2022 eyewear campaign and I was happy to oblige! After personally booking the models, I met them in sunny Santa Monica, CA for a day of shooting by the pier and around town. The sun bouncing off the water created the perfect vibe to showcase the unique design of the sunglasses and gave me an idea for the direction of the ads. I kept seeing “French Riviera” whenever I looked at the RAW photos, so I leaned into it, pushing the colors into a warmer, more vibrant space and adding some retro-modern type to accentuate the feel. In the end everyone was very happy, and I got a cool pair of sunglasses out of it as well!
The social ads needed to be very simple in order to keep the focus on the sunglasses. I still wanted to add some spark/elements of design, so I went with simple symbols with subtle animations to keep things interesting.
The Panda Sunglasses team asked me to do a holiday-themed shoot showcasing their sunglasses and some of their watches. The team wanted them to be fun, cute, and a little quirky, so I opted for some simple gifs and some bold colors
